Sheldon considers this. Then he gets an idea. A terrible, wonderful, spectacularly petty idea. Meanwhile, in the B-plot, George Sr. and Mary are dealing with a crisis of their own: their teenage son, Georgie, has discovered girls. Specifically, he has discovered a girl named Veronica, a sweet, church-going sophomore with braces and a kind smile. Georgie wants to take her to the movies. Paige laughs—a real laugh, not a mocking one. “You’re weird, Sheldon Cooper.” Sheldon waves back

“Well,” George Sr. says slowly. “I’ll tell you what I tell my boys on the field. You don’t have to be the best. You just have to be better than you were yesterday.” Then he gets an idea

“She’s better , Meemaw. She solves problems by feeling them. That’s not science. That’s witchcraft.”

Sheldon blinks. “That’s… surprisingly non-literal.”
