Press Win + PrtScn simultaneously. Your screen will dim briefly, and a "Screenshot saved" notification will appear.
Press Win + G to open the Game Bar, then click the camera icon (or press Win + Alt + PrtScn ).
If you’ve recently upgraded to Windows 11 or are still getting used to its shortcuts, you’re not alone. Unlike your smartphone, which dumps every screenshot neatly into one "Screenshots" folder, Windows 11 has multiple screenshot methods—and each one saves your image to a different place.

Open File Explorer (folder icon on your taskbar or Win + E ). In the left sidebar, click Pictures . Inside, you’ll see a folder named Screenshots .
This method is useful for quick pasting into emails or chat windows, but not for archiving. If you’re taking screenshots of games or apps, you might use the Xbox Game Bar.
