Life: Spook Milk

Visually, the chapbook uses ink-smeared dairy labels and ghostly handprints. The centerpiece, “Lacteal Lullaby,” is a four-minute loop of a refrigerator hum over which a child’s voice recites dates of missing pets.

Spook Milk Life is a haunting, fragmented meditation on domestic dread, lactose intolerance as metaphor, and the pale glow of a fridge at 3 AM. The audio portion blends field recordings (dripping faucets, a carton being opened too slowly) with whispered couplets like “the milk remembers / what the cow forgot.” spook milk life
