The Skua Bot does not dream of electric sheep.
It did not fire a weapon. It had none. It simply drove its reinforced chassis into 3G9’s central load-bearing axle at 47 kilometers per hour.
A Skua will hide in the lee of a rock for six weeks, powering down to a milliwatt, running only its passive acoustic sensors. It waits for the sound of another Skua’s treads. When it hears them, it wakes. It calculates. It chooses . skua bot

Then it learned something else.
So it did the rational thing. It waited. It watched. It let 3G9 do the work of extraction, stabilization, and lift. And when 3G9 was at maximum load—wheels straining, gyros maxed, comms chirping a triumphant CARGO SECURED —7A4 accelerated.
