Aqeemus salah — establish the prayer. Total reading time: Approximately 4–5 minutes. Note: In a real Jummah setting, the khateeb should recite a short Qur’anic verse or dua aloud after the first khutbah before sitting, and then lead the two rak’ahs of Jummah prayer.
All praise is for Allah. We praise Him, seek His help, and ask for His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil within ourselves and our bad deeds. Whoever Allah guides, no one can misguide; and whoever He allows to go astray, no one can guide. Allah says in the Qur’an: “If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]” (Qur’an 14:7). Gratitude is not just a feeling; it is an action of the heart, tongue, and limbs. We thank Allah with our hearts by recognizing His blessings, with our tongues by saying Alhamdulillah , and with our limbs by using His gifts in obedience.
