A change of emblem was a declaration of war. An alliance of two guilds changing to similar emblems? That was a political earthquake. Sure, modern MMOs have clan tags, banners, and flashy logos. But none of them feel as earned as the RO guild emblem.
Do not use pure white as a background. It turns invisible in the game UI. Use a soft gray or a dark border. And for the love of Lord Kaho, save it as 24x24 pixels before you ask the forums why your emblem is broken. What was the most famous (or infamous) guild emblem you remember from your server? Was it the intimidating one you ran from, or the silly meme emblem that somehow always won?
Guild emblems were the original social media branding. You learned to fear specific icons. If you saw a black-and-red checkered flag teleport into the castle’s entrance, you knew to hit your Yggdrasil Berry hotkey immediately.
And yet, guild leaders spent hours in MS Paint, Photoshop, or the dreaded "Online Emblem Maker," squinting at pixels.
