Elias turned the paper over. On the back, in fresh ink, was a single line: “Day 1. Let’s begin.”

He pressed the button.

The mirror version of Elias raised a hand in a wave, then pointed downward. Elias looked at his feet. A digital timer had appeared on his mat, counting down from 30:00. Not 90 days. Thirty minutes. p90x3 archive

Elias stepped back and hit his heel on a loose floor tile. Underneath it was a spiral notebook, Danny’s handwriting, but frantic and pressed hard enough to tear the paper. The last page read: “Day 90. I’ve done the math. The archive contains every P90X3 workout ever performed, but also every one that will be performed. It’s a recursive loop. The only way out is to do a workout that doesn’t exist. An X4. But that would crash the system. It would release everything—every echo, every lost second, every person who ever paused the video and never came back. Eli, I’m going to try it.
