The GT 610 never received another driver after 391.35. Today, on Windows 10 22H2 64-bit, the card will not work correctly with any official driver. It suffers from constant TDR failures (Timeout, Detection, and Recovery), random black screens, and the infamous Code 43.

Leo began the journey. He went to NVIDIA’s official website. The latest driver for the GT 610 on Windows 10 64-bit was version 391.35, dated March 2018. nvidia gt 610 drivers windows 10 64-bit

Then came the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

Leo sighed when he saw the card. “Grandpa, this thing is a fossil. Let’s get you a GT 1030.” User “Fermi4Life” wrote: “Use driver 368

The card was now running without hardware acceleration. YouTube at 480p stuttered like a flipbook. Arthur called Leo again, frustrated.

Leo followed the ancient ritual. DDU in Safe Mode. A reboot into a stretched 800x600 nightmare. He ran the 368.81 setup as Administrator, selected “Custom Install,” and unchecked everything except the Display Driver. No PhysX. No HD Audio. No GeForce Experience. Then install the driver without the HD Audio driver

He downloaded it. Installed it. The screen flickered, went black, and… Code 43 again. He tried version 390.77. Same result. He tried 385.69. The desktop loaded, but Windows Aero was gone. The taskbar looked like Windows 98. When he moved a window, it left ghost trails.
