Here is the story of (Narasimhar / Narasimman) as traditionally told in Tamil lore, drawing from the Bhagavata Purana , Puranas , and Tamil Divya Prabandham . The Story of Narasimha: The Man-Lion who Defied Fate 1. The Curse of the Gatekeepers Long ago, in the celestial realm of Vaikunta, Lord Vishnu’s two gatekeepers, Jaya and Vijaya , were cursed by the four Sanaka saints (mind-born sons of Brahma) for refusing them entry. The saints decreed: “You will be born as demons on Earth.”
Thus, Jaya was born as (the golden-robed demon king), and Vijaya as his brother, Hiranyaksha (the golden-eyed demon). 2. The Boon and the Tyranny First, Hiranyaksha was killed by Vishnu as Varaha (the boar avatar). Enraged, Hiranyakashipu vowed revenge. He performed severe penance for millions of years , standing on one leg, chanting Brahma’s name, until Brahma appeared. narasimha tamil

5. The Twilight Avatara From the shattered pillar emerged neither man nor beast, but a Narasimha – half-man, half-lion. His form was terrifying: lion’s face with bloodshot eyes, sharp fangs, a massive mane, and a human torso with long, sharp claws. The saints decreed: “You will be born as demons on Earth
Brahma refused. So the demon king crafted a cunning loophole: “Let me not die any dwelling or outside ; not during day or night ; not on ground or in sky ; not by any weapon or hand of man or beast; not by any god , demon , or living being created by you.” Brahma granted the boon. Now believing himself invincible, Hiranyakashipu conquered the three worlds, banned the name of Vishnu, and declared himself God. 3. The Unshakable Son: Prahlada Hiranyakashipu had a son named Prahlada . While still in his mother’s womb, Prahlada heard the divine chants of sage Narada, who was teaching his mother. So, Prahlada was born a devotee of Vishnu – his father’s greatest enemy.
