A direct sequel to the National Award-winning Aattam (2023), this film picks up one year after the theater troupe’s sexual assault case was closed. It follows how the accused (Vinay Forrt) tries to rejoin a new troupe, while the survivor (Zarin Shihab) faces social retaliation.
Technically, it’s a marvel. The sound mix (whispers, footsteps, cracking leaves) is terrifying on headphones. But narratively, it goes nowhere. This is not a comfortable watch. The film deliberately avoids giving you a hero. Every character is morally grey. The single-take courtroom monologue in the middle is exceptional writing.
