Defeated once more in Crash Bandicoot 4 , Cortex discovers a forgotten artifact—the Chrono-Mask of Spite —which allows him to overwrite key moments in history. He erases Crash’s victories, turning allies into enemies and islands into fortresses. Crash and Coco must travel through “glitched” timeline zones, restore fractured memories, and face a final version of Cortex who has merged with the mask itself.
