He saved the document. Then he backed up the ISO to a USB drive labeled:

Alex stared at the blue screen. The error message felt like a personal insult: “Your Microsoft Office license will expire in 3 days.”
The green bar filled quickly. At 12:03 AM, a chime rang through his silent apartment.
The first three sites were traps—fake "Download Now" buttons that wanted his credit card for a "speed boost." The fourth was a graveyard of broken magnet links. Then he found it: a single post from 2019, username GhostAdmin . The link was still alive.
The ISO file was 2.4 GB. At his rural internet speed, it was a four-hour prayer.
He opened Word. The blank document stared back, clean and innocent. He typed the title: “Proposal for the Northside Community Learning Hub.”
