If you’ve ever shipped or received freight through or any of their affiliated drayage and over-the-road carriers, you know that tracking can sometimes feel like a black box. You drop off the container, get a bill of lading, and then… radio silence until the truck shows up (or doesn’t).
As a last resort, file a trace with the shipper or consignee. Sometimes the load already delivered but the status wasn’t updated. The receiver can confirm with a timestamp and name. The bottom line CCTL tracking is not best-in-class, but it’s usable if you approach it correctly. The automated tools (email and phone) cover the basics. If you still get nothing, escalate to CCTL’s operations manager. Every carrier has one. Ask dispatch: “Who is the on-call ops manager for this region?” That person has the authority to pull ELD data or call the driver’s personal phone.

If you move freight with CCTL more than once a month, get a portal login. If you move freight daily, demand API access or a dedicated account rep who sends daily tracking spreadsheets.
