What is the Neo Geo BIOS? The BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) is the heart of the SNK Neo Geo system. Unlike modern consoles where the BIOS simply boots the hardware, the Neo Geo BIOS is an interactive dashboard. It controls everything from region settings (Japan, USA, Europe) to the console's famous "soft reset" (Select + Start) and the blood color in games (red vs. black).
