Vi learns of the deal and is furious. She leaves Caitlyn, sneaks back to Zaun, and confronts Silco in his office. She nearly kills him, but Sevika stops her. Vi is captured and brought before Silco. Silco mocks her: “You think you can save her? You’re the reason she’s Jinx. You abandoned her.”
On the bridge, a firefight erupts. Jinx shoots Caitlyn in the side. Vi is forced to choose: chase Jinx or save Caitlyn. Gritting her teeth, Vi saves Caitlyn, carrying her back to Piltover. Jinx, watching them leave, whispers, “She’s not my sister anymore.” In Piltover, Jayce has become disillusioned. He sees the council’s corruption and is haunted by the cost of his progress. Viktor, his body now half-metal and sustained by a dangerous, sentient Hexcore (a magical heart that is beginning to think for itself), reveals his Shimmer augmentation. Jayce is horrified. Their partnership fractures.
